I’m Judging You by Luvvie Ajayi

I'm judging you by Luvvie AjayiNigerian born, American raised author and blogger Luvvie Ajayi wows us with her keen sense of humor and truth in I’m judging you. She states a lot of things you’ll consider common sense but one has to realize that common sense isn’t always very common. Luvvie touches on many different topics and gives us advice in a humorous way.

As a Nigerian woman living in the States, I can relate to all the issues she’s brought up but I especially appreciate her appeal to a wider audience. She is real and unabashedly herself. Luvvie says all the stuff you’re thinking but can’t say cause you’re too polite or perhaps afraid of the backlash. I love that she’s so real and calls folks out for bad behavior.

Here are four reasons to read I’m Judging You by Luvvie Ajayi:
  1. Honesty / Candidness : Luvvie tells it like it is. She says that stuff we can’t say cause we have day jobs and reputations to protect. We are thinking it and are glad someone finally said it. For instance, in one chapter  she calls out folks on social media who post ridiculous things or overshare.
  2. Humor : She is hilarious; Luvvie describes events in a comical and entertaining manner. She’ll keep you engaged with her humor.
  3. Advice: She tells you what to do. Luvvie suggests behaviors and ideas to do better.
  4. She’s Nigerian: Hey, I’m Nigerian and I love to see and shout out other Nigerians doing well! I’m especially proud that she’s from Ibadan, my home town.

Overall, of course I recommend this book 😉 it’s a great, light and funny read. Pick this up for your next plane ride; you won’t be disappointed.
